A Glimpse into the Nature of God
(Based on the teachings of Guruji Krishnananda)

I had a very beautiful experience. I would like to share it with you.

A few years back, I had gone to Anekal to look for a site to build a Meditation Hall. In one of the sites that I was thinking of buying, there was an old tree. When I looked at the tree, it talked to me. It was no ordinary tree. It said, “This is the site where you should build the Meditation Hall.”

So, I chose this site, though there were cheaper sites available. Now we have our centre there.

Recently, I had been there. In the tree there were thousands of caterpillars eating the fresh and tender leaves. One of the volunteers had brought pesticide to be sprayed on the tree to kill the caterpillars. Before spraying he asked me whether he can go ahead.

So, I asked the tree, “Shall we spray pesticide on the caterpillars?”

The tree said, “No. Please don’t spray it. I want these caterpillars to eat the leaves. After that, I will bring out more new leaves.”

When I explained this to the volunteer, he had tears in his eyes. It was very, very touching indeed.

This is how nature is—kind, magnanimous, abundant, ready to give, expecting nothing in return.

This experience gives us a glimpse into the nature of God Himself.

Becoming Universal

Becoming Universal – Based on the teachings of Guruji Krishnananda

A lady was travelling in a bus. She was looking at the people moving around outside. Suddenly she felt a surge of immense love within her. Then she saw everyone as Light.

What a great experience!

She had not made any conscious effort to send Light and yet, it happened. She was in that state for a short time.

What actually happened was that she briefly became Universal.

How does this happen?

Light is your Companion

If we carry Love and Light in us always, this happens. It happens when we love this world, when we love the life on this earth and when we love everyone.

This is an experience of total Oneness during which she became a Universal being.

The Divine Light that she experienced has everything—Unconditional Love, Infinite Wisdom, Eternal Peace and Abundance.

Carry Light within you always. You will have abundance. Abundance is not just material wealth. Abundance includes love, peace, health, etc.

To become a Universal Being, one can practise the following:

- Fill yourself with Divine Light and carry It with you always.

- Experience Divine Light at the core of your being.

- Get connected to everyone and everything and experience Oneness.

- Get connected to the Greater Core, God Himself.

- Spread the Divine Light to everyone and everything.

- Manifest the Divine Light in your living.

- Become Light.

We can definitely practise all of these if we make efforts. When we carry Light always, we will not behave like ordinary human beings. We will be Universal, like the citizens of the Light Age. We will be like God Himself.

Ten days of prosperity

Ten days of prosperity

We are currently going through a period of ten days, during which the whole world receives very special energies from a Divine Source. The core or the personality that represents these energies is known as Mahalaxmi in Sanskrit.

Mahalaxmi is also known as the goddess of prosperity and abundance. And prosperity is usually understood as monetary wealth.

Prosperity is not just money and riches; it is also wisdom, health, happiness, peace and contentment. We know that one who is not rich can be happy, while an extremely rich person may be too busy to have even a moment of peace in a day.

Prosperity also means Spiritual abundance. Isn’t experiencing stillness in Meditation spiritual wealth? Goddess Mahalaxmi can give both—material and spiritual wealth. She is also the one who can grant true Vairagya (non-attachment).

In fact, when we pray to goddess Mahalaxmi, we should ask for both material and spiritual wealth in equal proportions; we should not ask for one without the other. This is because, in this plane, true spirituality is living a balanced life that has both the spiritual and the material, with all the material activity being carried out spiritually.

Living spiritually is not just Meditating or spending time in other spiritual practices. Doing all our work properly, fulfilling all our responsibilities, manifesting love, compassion and kindness in all our interactions with others, even driving carefully, with kindness to others on the road is being spiritual.

In these ten days, ending on 26th August 2013, we can consciously absorb more of the energies of goddess Mahalaxmi by meditating more or by channelling Light (www.lightchannels.com/channelling.html).

These energies help everyone in the world, whether they are aware of them or not, whether they believe in them or not. Such Divine energies are always meant for everyone.

May all this bring you true prosperity.
