I see people struggling to succeed in their professions and in Life, and I also see them struggling in their professions and in Life even after succeeding. There is more to a profession, there is more to Life.
A very successful person who has name, fame, money, everything, wrote a very lengthy letter to me. He wrote, “I have all these things; still I feel there is a void in my Life, what is this?”
I told him, “It is the absence of Light.” All these may give satisfaction but after sometime, we realize that they are not enough. There is something more to Life; there is something more to fame and name. He felt the absence of Light as void. I admired his honesty. He said, “I have failed. I have missed something in Life; please help me!”
We are fortunate that we have so much of Light around us. Only thing is that we have to open up and allow Light to enter us. We don’t have to make any effort to receive Light; just open up, It enters. The Light is waiting.

The Child In Us

The Child In Us
(Based on the teachings of Guruji Krishnananda)

There is a child in each one of us. Keep the child alive and active. Please don’t drive the child away.

Let the child in you remain a child. Let the child not grow. If you allow it to grow, it will lose its innocence and become like us, too logical, too materialistic, self-centred, selfish, and shrewd.

The child in us can look at the stars, wonder and dream, but if we allow it to grow, we will be incapable of dreaming. We kill all our dreams.

The grownups do not care about others’ feelings; they don’t mind hurting others, they even do it deliberately.

Let the child not grow and do all these things. If we nurture the child in us, it helps us a lot to grow spiritually. Let the child remain innocent. Let the child be gazing at the stars, dreaming, wondering, loving, of course mischievous and always hopeful.

Most of us ignore the child in us. Keeping the child in us alive is an important part of our Spiritual Quest.

The Right Path

The Right Path
(Based on the teachings of Guruji Krishnananda)

“How do I know that I am on the right Path?”

I have been asked this question several times.

If you are comfortable with the practices and the teachings of the Path, then you are on the right Path.

If you feel you have freedom in the Path, if the Path is not stifling with many do’s and don’ts, if the Path does not impose anything on you, then you know that it is the right Path for you.

A Path will have certain guidelines that help the individual to grow. But even these should not be imposed. They are accepted and adopted by the individual of his own accord, when he feels free to do so. If you have such freedom, then it is the right Path for you because, Spiritual growth is possible only in freedom. It can never be forced.

If you have felt that your peace has increased, if you have found relief from stress and depression, if you are experiencing a new Joy, then you have found the right Path.

If the Path inspires you to live life to the fullest, and not shun life, if it helps you expand your thinking, emoting and living, then it is the right Path for you.

There are many such paths. Remember, the ultimate choice is made by you.

Have faith in yourself to begin with. Then, get guided by your own intuition and choose a Path.

Enlightenment

Enlightenment

Samadhi is beginning of our Spiritual jurney

Before we reach the ultimate state of Enlightenment, we go through many stages of awakening.

It begins with the understanding at the intellectual level that we are souls and not these bodies. This understanding may come from reading a book or from some other source.

This understanding may lead to the realisation that we are just visitors to this planet and we are not permanent residents here. We realise that we come from a different Source, which is our true Home, and we have to go back someday. This is another awakening.

When we realise that we are particles of Light, which is God Himself, and that we are here to experience the Creation, it is yet another awakening.
The Creation was brought forth by God with the sole purpose of providing us the opportunities to experience.

The intellectual understanding that we are souls should ultimately lead to the realisation of this Truth by direct experience. We must be able to experience that we are not our body.

That is the beginning of Enlightenment.

Becoming aware of God’s Presence is an important step in Enlightenment. When we become aware of God’s Presence, we love Him and His Creation. We love this earth and everything on it because God created it. This realization is not easy.

When we love God, we should manifest it by loving all of His Creation, which also is not easy for many.

We must realise that life-force is an important factor in Creation and we must manifest it. We bring out life-force when we celebrate life by living life fully. Life-force is what makes us sing, dance and dream. All poetry comes from life-force.

We experience the joy of living when we bring out life-force. This also is a part of the awakening process.

A person on the way to Enlightenment will accept all the imperfections of this world without grumbling, complaining or getting angry. He will always be happy because he lives in Light and is on the way to becoming Light.

Even after Enlightenment (becoming Light), Sadhana continues under the guidance of God Himself. He is the Guru after Enlightenment. We require His guidance forever.

Practising what we know

Guruji Krishnananda

Whenever I interact with people, they usually talk about their eternal problems and never ending conflicts. When I was wondering why this is so, I realised that this is not due to a lack of wisdom, but due to a lack of application of the wisdom that they have already gathered.

The people who are on Spiritual Paths spend a lot of time in understanding life. They also gain a lot of wisdom through their own experiences.

And yet, when they are faced with problems, they somehow don’t apply their wisdom. Which is why the problems and conflicts persist.

I suggest you to consciously spend some time in gathering all that you have learned, all the experiences, principles and wisdom that you have grasped through your own Spiritual Pursuits and Intuition, and write them down.

Ask yourself how much of your wisdom you are applying in your lives. If you are not making use of them, you can begin using them now. Otherwise, what is the point of Spiritual Pursuits and acquiring wisdom?

Only when we consciously apply the wisdom we have gathered, we grow spiritually. Just practising meditations and other techniques will not help us grow or transform.

Applying our wisdom is a part of our Sadhana (Spiritual Pursuit).

Only when we make honest and sincere efforts to grow, we understand many truths about ourselves. We begin to find answers to questions like, “Who are we?”, “Why are we here?”, etc.

I suggest you to contemplate on this.

The Spiritual Journey must be made by the individual himself or herself. The Masters cannot do it for you. Until you begin your journey, they can only wait and watch.

Surrender

Surrender – Based on the teachings of Guruji Krishnananda

A spiritual seeker asked me this question, “While living in this world is surrender possible?”

Here is my answer:

It is possible. In fact we find opportunities to surrender only when we live in this world.

Surrender is total acceptance at all levels.

There are several aspects to surrender. Before surrender, there is unconditional love and complete trust. We trust others deeply, when we relate to them at the soul level.

Trust and faith can only be total, they cannot be partial. We either have faith or we don’t have faith.

A soul is a Divine Spark, a speck of Light. When we relate to each other at the level of the soul, we trust completely.

When we trust others completely, we surrender to the Light in them. When we truly surrender, there will be a reciprocation from the others. We relate to them at the deepest level.

Such relationships are genuine and permanent.

We can extend this to the greater Light, the Ocean of Light or God Himself.

When we love and trust God completely, we can surrender to Him. And when we surrender to God, we will be automatically aligned with Him.

When we accept and surrender to God, our entire living will be guided at all levels by Him. He also monitors and protects us because we accept Him totally.

Even in human love, there is trust, acceptance and surrender. Without surrender, true love is not possible.

So, while living in this world, surrender is possible.

Spiritual goals

“What is a Spiritual goal?”, asked a seeker on the Spiritual Path.

A Spiritual goal is one that fulfils the purpose of coming down to this earth. We have taken birth to experience and celebrate life here. So, experiencing the beauty and the diversity on this earth and living life fully is a Spiritual goal.

To learn to overcome our negativity, to experience and manifest peace and love, and to align with the Divine are all Spiritual goals.

To fill our world with vibrations of harmony, to manifest the life-force, and to experience and spread the Divine Light to the whole world are Spiritual goals.

After appreciating and experiencing the life in this Material Cosmos, we have to return to our origin in the Divine Planes. So, going back home is also a Spiritual goal.

But instead of going back to our origin, we can choose to stay here and help others achieve their Spiritual goals. The prospect of helping others is a wonderful opportunity. If we choose to help others, we will be taking up the work of the Rishis (Light Masters). This is a very great Spiritual goal because it is the goal of the Rishis.

The Rishis have achieved the highest. They are here to help us realise our Spiritual goals. They are here to help us choose to help others and join the Rishis’ work, which is huge.

Even after choosing to work for the Rishis, we must try to attain perfection because, even that is a Spiritual goal.

When we attain perfection, we are fully aligned with the Divine and we manifest the Divine all the time. This is our ultimate goal.

Realising the Spiritual Ultimate

A student asked me, “Can Meditation alone take us to the Spiritual ultimate?”

This is my answer:

Meditation

Meditation is the first step in our Spiritual journey. It is enough to begin with, like choosing a new track or entering a doorway.

Meditation initiates certain processes in us. After beginning the journey, we must make efforts at other times to grow spiritually by positivising.

Meditation begins with silencing our system, which connects us to the ocean of stillness. To experience stillness in Meditation, we must be calm at other times by avoiding negative thoughts, emotions and agitations.

Our true nature is Love, Peace and Joy. When we make efforts to manifest our true nature in our living, we experience stillness during Meditation.

In stillness, our Awareness begins to expand. It rises to higher levels of consciousness.

We experience higher levels of consciousness and come in contact with the Divine Light. We begin to experience the Divine Light and ultimately, we become the Divine Light.

All this happens by Divine Grace. For our part, we just sit for Meditation and offer ourselves in surrender to the Divine.

So, Meditation alone is not enough to reach the ultimate. Meditation can lead us to the ultimate when combined with our sincere efforts during Meditation and at other times, and most importantly, by Divine Grace.

Meditation is a very important step in our Spiritual journey. As we progress, we realise that all life is Sadhana.

Light — The Eternal Companion

A person told me that he has begun interacting with the Light. He says that the Light has become his companion, and he consults the Light for everything.

Light your Companion

This is what I have been suggesting. Make Light your companion. Make Light your guide and guru. Once you are able to do that, you will never falter.

The Light in us guides and takes care of us. It is no exaggeration to say that the Light helps us in every way. You will know it when you experience it.

If you can make Light your constant companion, it is higher than Meditations. Of course, you have to meditate regularly and positivise your emotions and thoughts. Mere Meditations are not enough for transformation.

So, try this; try to interact with the Light. Make Light your eternal companion. Anyone and everyone should be able to contact the Light and get guidance from the Light.

Understand that the Light is God Himself. The Light is the Supreme Intelligence. The Light contains everything—love, peace, happiness and all that is positive and helpful to life.

The Light is within us. The Light is everywhere. Making the Light our companion must be the Spiritual goal.

Spiritual Life

“When can we say our Spiritual life has begun?” – A student asked me this question.

This is my answer.
The Spiritual life does not begin with going to temples or with ritualistic worship.
It does not begin with wearing saffron clothes or Rudrakshas (prayer beads).
The Spiritual life does not begin even when you join a Spiritual Path and take up meditations. All these are spiritual pursuits, no doubt.
Some meditators even after many years of meditations get angry and behave like ordinary people. So, just taking up Meditations does not automatically imply that our Spiritual life has begun.
Our Spiritual journey begins only when we begin manifesting love.
Only when we truly begin manifesting love, we can manifest the Divine. Unless we know the Divine by direct experience, we cannot manifest the Divine.
Without manifesting the Divine, our Spiritual journey does not begin, and we cannot consider ourselves Spiritual. So, our Spiritual life begins when we learn to manifest the Divine and truly manifest unconditional love all the time.

Celebrating God’s Presence

Celebrating God’s Presence

We wish our beloved Guruji a very Happy 74th Birthday. We miss his physical form but we do not miss him, because his Divine Energies are installed in our hearts forever. Just as he had promised, he continues to guide us from the Astral Level. We have felt his Guidance, protection and Love. From the Heavens above, dear Guruji, please accept our Love and deepest Regards.

Uncertainty

I was once asked whether uncertainty in life is a boon or a curse.

This is how I replied.

It depends on how you take it. For me, uncertainty is a boon.

When there is uncertainty, we gear up our entire personality, our resources, all our faculties and intelligence and get ready to face it. Only when we are uncertain we become active, dynamic and adventurous.

On the other hand, if we are certain and secure about our future, complacency can creep in. Then the spirit of adventure dies. Some healthy competition helps the spirit but too much of it is not good.

So, uncertainty helps us to be alert, dynamic, ready to venture and adventure.

Only when there is uncertainty, we tend to turn to Spirituality and God.

Uncertainty definitely helps. Contemplate on this when you are alone.

Success

Someone asked me, “How do you define success?”

Guruji Krishnananda

This is how I answered.

It depends on the individual. Some consider accumulating wealth or achieving other similar goal as the criteria for being successful in life.

For me, success is balancing both the material and the Spiritual.

For me, success is progressing spiritually in spite of obstacles, in spite of tests and confusion.

It is not easy to progress spiritually. If a person can do it living in this world, managing both these worlds, I think that person’s life is a successful life.

For me success is aligning with the Light, experiencing the Light and manifesting the Light.

Success is creating peace for ourselves and for this earth. We can create peace if we really want. For me, success is manifesting the life-force and manifesting humanness.

Power of Intent

Power of Intent

 A person wanted to meet me and ask me a few questions, but it was not possible. He was desperate to know the answers. At night he had a dream. In the dream he came to me and met me. He remembers sitting before me and all the other details. He asked the questions and I replied to him. He even remembers the replies after waking up. How is this possible?

Since he needed the answers and he wanted to talk to me desperately, he came to me astrally and spoke to me. There are very strange and unknown processes. Normally, it is difficult to remember dreams and Astral experiences. But he could clearly remember the answers to his questions.

He could come because he had a strong intent. Also, there is a Higher Intelligence that helped him get the answers to his questions.

With a strong intent anything is possible. If you have a pure and strong intent, you can contact the Light Masters. We can achieve anything with such a strong intent.

The Core Teachings of Light Masters

The Core Teachings 

Someone once asked me, “What are the core teachings of the Light Masters (Rishis)?”

Their core teachings are, manifest love, manifest purity, manifest honesty and peace, and most importantly, manifest the life-force. There is abundant life-force around us, which we have to manifest in our day-to-day living. 

The other main teachings are, meditate and positivise your emotions and thoughts. Live a balanced life between the material and the Spiritual. Be aware that we are entering the Light Age. During this transition, there will be a Shift in Consciousness. Certain events will occur; we have to face their effects. To go through these events, we can only prepare spiritually. Preparation at the physical level will not help.

 The Light Masters exist in different worlds and they are ever ready to guide us and help us in every way. All of us have to establish contact with them. Each one of us is capable of doing so.

 They also say that Light is our Source, Light is our means and Light is our goal. We must know all about Light and experience Light.

 We have come down to this earth to experience the life here. After experiencing it sufficiently we have to go back to our Source, which is our Spiritual goal. We do reincarnate. We reincarnate to clear our Karmas that we have accumulated in the past.

 We are all one. All the human beings on this earth are one. We are individually responsible for the welfare of everyone else. What affects others anywhere in the world will affect us somehow. We must experience Oneness and we have to feel responsible for the state of the world.
